Rawal F.C 10 – 5 Saints F.C
Saints F.C suffered a humiliating 10-5 defeat today in a match that was subject to some controversial unannounced, early kick-off.
Players were forced to halt their pre-match showers in half and had to run to the ground in a state of complete haphazardness.
The match started in an expected half-hour delay and the confusion soon took its toll on the players’ performance, as Saints let in 4 early goals.
Wajeeh Saeed, who joined the squad later than expected, put up a determined show and showed some promise, as he netted in 4 out of the 5 goals scored by Saints.
Star youngster, Ozil, made sure that his unique technique didn’t go unnoticed and came up with some neat passing and humiliating nutmegs.
Ali Imran seemed to be a frustrated figure in the match and was nowhere near his usual prime and had no effect what-so-ever on the game. Marinda’s skill on Ali summed up his day and his poor performance on the pitch.
Omer Rehman played his most memorable match of the season as he was responsible for spurning some 11 opportunities, the number at the back of his shirt. Rehman had the chance to put the math back on level terms when Saints were having a comeback, but he
missed a golden opportunity and shot the ball wide during the 55th minute.
Salman Zaka was also not at his best and did nothing to prove his doubters wrong. The Bahrian star missed a sitter, which could easily have proven to be crucial for Saints to make a complete comeback.
Rafa, Mehdi , Sufi and Samar were average performers during the game, but are worth the mention since they tried their best in defence and couldn’t do much about the goals that were scored against them.
