Beyonce gives birth to a baby girl

Beyonce Knowles is a mother. As published by celebrity gossip website TMZ , the American artist gave birth to a daughter on Saturday.

It has been reported that the singing diva has named her newly born, Blue Ivy Carter. Beyonce gave birth to her daughter at a hospital in New York City, where she lives. The name of the child has been facilitated by the father of the newborn, singer Jay-Z
and some of his friends, sources close to the couple indicated.

As the news circulated on the Internet, the many famous friends of the couple have sent in their congratulations.

Fellow singer, Rihanna tweeted her response: "Welcome to the world princess Carter. Rih your aunt loves you."

Russell Simmons also has posted a message on Twitter: "Congratulations to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z."

Beyonce announced she was pregnant last August during the MTV awards. In recent days it had been speculated that the baby had been born. To deny the rumors, the mother went out last Friday and was seen by the dozens of photographers who were waiting afterhours.
